Great stuff Sean – as always, packed with tons of valuable information, resources, and proposed next steps. Takes the stress out of where to start and what to do. Also the love wide variety of ways you mention to make some extra coin – everything from SEO work, freelance writing, consulting, and even selling stuff you don’t need/want around the house on CL… awesome! Big-fan of #4 (pre-sell a product). Definitely something I haven’t done yet but will be experimenting with in the next few months. Thanks again man – cheers!
I know this post is a few months old but I stumbled onto an app called Quickthoughts, a survey site. Unfortunately they only give out Amazon gift cards. You redeem them every time you hit $10 which is shockingly easy because every survey if you qualify pays $2 and then id you don’t qualify they credit you .10. I was skeptical because I hit 10 bucks in less than 2 hours and have cashed out 4 $10 Amazon gift cards .i took a screen shot as proof but not too sure how to post or if I am able my current valance is 5.70 doing a few short surveys just today.
While some might think that starting a blog is an arduous effort, when you understand the precise steps you need to take, it becomes far easier. It all starts in the decision of choosing a profitable niche and picking the right domain name. From there, you need to build your offers. You can easily sell things like mini-email courses, trainings and ebooks.
SwagBucks PayPal gift card redemption is definitely not instant. Their website says it can take up to 10 business days. I have cashed in several PayPal gift cards with them and it could take anywhere from 24 hours to the full 10 days to receive them. About 5 business days seems to be most common. Don’t get me wrong…I love earning with SwagBucks. But Paypal payment is definitely not instant.
Job well done, Satrap. The first thing I look for in a site like this are signs that the author is being paid to hype the companies. It’s very tough to find good information that isn’t stricken with bias. There were a couple of times during the article where I actually got excited thinking, ‘Hey, I could do that. I’d actually LOVE to do that.” That being said, I can’t help noticing that you refer to all of it as “extra” or “supplemental”income. Are you saying that with all of these options, sticking to one’s regular “day job” is required? In your experience, if someone really commits to doing this, is it possible to earn a decent living? Cubicles suck.
First dollar insurance plans have higher premiums because the insurer is bearing a greater risk for the insured item. For example, with a first dollar health insurance plan, the insurance company will charge the customer higher premiums since the insurer begins payment with the first covered service the patient receives. First dollar coverage tends to be less prevalent in the home and car insurance industry because of the higher premiums.
Assume that a driver damages their car when driving into the garage. They take the car to a body shop and the damage is estimated at $3,000. Typically, in this situation, the person may opt to pay to fix the damage themselves, or if they can't afford the upfront cost they may file an auto insurance claim. Filing a claim usually involves paying a deductible, such as $250, $500, or $1,000 depending on the insurance policy. Lower deductibles typically have higher insurance premiums.
When you lack the luxury of time, making money on or offline can seem like an impossible task. How are you supposed to do that when you're working at a life-sucking nine-to-five job? While the stability of full-time employment might allow most to sleep well at night, it doesn't empower your creative juices to search for new income-producing strategies.
Thank you so much for this great article, it was very helpful, you definitely have a lot of information here. I own a business, so I work quite a bit, but I really need something else to help me sustain, especially though the winter months because it’s mainly a seasonal business. I’m curious, when you first started, how did you find something that worked for you? I know it will take a lot of hard work, and that’s fine with me, but I get discouraged signing up for a lot of these sites and only making 10 cents on the 4 or 5 surveys or videos, or whatever they have to offer, then there’s nothing left. I’ll spend an hour getting signed up for these sites, then it only nets a dollar or something and it will say I have to wait for new work. And I know it takes time to build up, but what can I do or where can I go to see some real traction online? I’m working on building an O Desk profile too.
